  • 9–600 kg-DS/h across twelve models
  • Cake at 20% dry solids minimum
  • 2,000 to 50,000 mg/L inlet sludge
  • 0.74 to 5.15 kW installed
  • Rinse water in litres per hour, not m³
  • Unattended start, run and washdown

Engineered
for continuous operation.

Clog-free filtration
Free rings clean the filtering gaps on every turn. No clogging, no capacity fade between cleanings.
Self-cleaning
Rinsing water measured in litres per hour: 32 L/h on a BTECH-201. No backwash pump.
Low-speed operation
From 0.74 kW. Low vibration and noise, reduced dynamic loads.
Fully automatic
Start-up, operation and wash-down run unattended, around the clock.

The solution

Progressive dewatering
inside one drum.

The dewatering drum is built from interlaminated fixed rings and free rings, held by rods with spacers in between. A screw turns slowly through the stack.

Sludge is thickened and then dewatered progressively along the screw axis. Filtrate escapes through the filtering gaps between the rings. The screw pitch narrows towards the discharge outlet: pressure builds where the sludge is already thick, and the cake is discharged.

  • AFixed ringsForm the filtering gaps and carry the load.
  • BFree ringsRide with the screw and keep the filtering gaps open, so the press cleans itself.
  • CScrewLow speed, narrowing pitch. Transport plus compression.
  • DEnd plateBack pressure point. Sets cake dryness.
Why BTECH®

Six reasons
it stays running.

Cutaway render of the BTECH press: sludge enters on the right, thickens, dewaters toward the left and leaves as cake against the end plate, with filtrate falling through the ring gaps
  • 01Wide concentration rangeFrom 2,000 to 50,000 mg/L — mixed liquor to primary sludges — through a single inlet, on the same machine.
  • 02Clog-free, no thickenerFree rings clean the filtering gaps between the fixed rings on every turn, so nothing clogs. Thickening happens in the first section: no upstream thickener needed.
  • 03Low speed, low powerScrew pitch and filtering gaps narrow toward the outlet, building pressure gradually at 2 to 4 rpm. Minimal vibration, low noise.
  • 04Self-cleaningFiltrate leaves through the ring gaps while they clean themselves. Rinsing water in litres per hour: 32 L/h on a BTECH-201.
  • 05Replaces existing systemsCake at 20% dry solids or better. Drops in for a belt press, decanter centrifuge or filter press.
  • 06Fully automatic controlPressure builds against the end plate and the cake leaves on its own. Unattended start, run and washdown.
